I'm 22 years old (will be 23 later this year). I graduated college last year, and I'm still growing.
I grew in college, but it happened slowly enough that I didn't notice it. I had thought I stopped growing my senior year of high school at 5'10". It was until I had to get my cap and gown for graduation from college that I figured out I had grown. The woman behind the table needed to know what size gown to get me so she asked me my height. Believing that I was 5'10", I told her 5'10". She was like, "ha ha very funny", and gave me a gown for a man at least 6'1". I thought I was being punked, but later I measured myself. She was right I was a bit over 6'1". Most of my friends in high school ended up taller than 6 feet so this made me happy.
A while after that I had to go see my doctor about something. Before seeing the doctor one of the nurses measured my height and weight. Initially, she measured me at nearly 6'2". Thinking that was wrong and that I was really 6'1", I asked her if she was sure. She said, "Oh yeah, you're right. You're taller than that. It's just hard to measure really tall guys like you." That was the exact opposite of the response I was expecting since I expected to be less than 6'2", not more than it. She measured me at 6 foot 2 and a half, which I later confirmed.
Over the next year, I occasionally measured my height and found out I was still growing. Since I was out of college and working full time, I had to spend my own money on getting new clothes which has made me see just how much I have been growing unlike when I was in college. Recently, my doctor's office called me because their system said I was due for a physical. I made the appointment, and took care of it. I had already known I had reached 6'5", so I knew what to expect when they measured my height. The nurse that started my appointment was only like 5'2". I towered over her big time. She could measure my weight no problem, but was too short to be able to measure my height. She had to get another nurse who was 6'1" who was actually able to measure my height. As expected the measurement came out to 6'5".
Knowing that I'm so tall had me feeling bold, so once my appointment was done, I found the 6'1" nurse and asked her out. She said yes, and I have been seeing her since. I love how I'm not just taller than a 6'1" woman, but I'm also taller than her when she wears heels. I don't know if I'm going to grow anymore, but I will be happy if I do.
