Last year I started going out with my now girlfriend. I was 5'8" at the time, and she was (and still is) 5'3". We're both 15. Since then I have had a growth spurt making me now 6'3". As I got taller there were a lot of changes. In particular, girls started hitting on me a lot. By itself that isn't surprising. Girls like tall guys. What is surprising to me about this is that the girls hitting on me for the most part know I have a girlfriend. Instead of treating me as not available, girls don't seem to care that I have a girlfriend.
I have been texting with some of these girls, and I asked one of them outright if she knew I had a girlfriend. She not only said that she knew, but that a man like me needs a woman like her and not a girl like my gf.
I asked a friend who I usually trust with these matters if girls pursue guys with gfs at all if they're tall. He said that it was pretty normal for girls to go after tall men in this manner regardless if the tall man in question is in a relationship or not, especially if the girls themselves are tall. According to him tall men usually have a lot of girls who are effectively groupies, for lack of a better term. Is this correct? Do girls go after guys who aren't available, if he's tall?

Hi Obelisk, In my experience, I would say most definitely YES. One of the (many, many) advantages about being tall, is that you attract more girls. This is only a problem if the girl you are dating expects you to be monogamous. However, other girls won't care, and will readily and knowingly share you with more than one girl. At your age, you should seriously explore the possibility of having more than one girl at a time, however many you think you can handle, provided that the girls are cool with it. You will have plenty of time later in life to be chained down to one woman. Just be safe Humbly yours, Stu

I believe the more mature girls WOULD care, as they would be beyond the stage where they would be happy being a "groupie"
